Veteran’s Service Conducting Outreach

Written by on October 2, 2017

A Wyoming veteran’s service officer from the Wyoming Veterans Commission will conduct community outreach services in Wyoming cities throughout October.
Josh Schmidt, a former U.S. Marine, is the new service officer for the Big Horn Basin, replacing Brad Cline, and is available to meet with veterans and their families to discuss state and federal veterans’ benefits, Department of Veterans Affairs claims, or VA healthcare. Schmidt can also help veterans and their families apply for benefits, file claims or request healthcare.
His office is staffed in Cody, but he will be traveling to locations around the Basin this month. On October 9th, he will be at the Powell VA clinic; he will be in Worland October 11 at the Community Center; in Greybull on October 18th Schmidt will be at the Senior Citizens Center; and on the 20th he will be at the Lovell Senior Center.
Schmidt is available to meet with veterans and their families from Park, Big Horn, Washakie and Hot Springs counties in addition to the scheduled outreach.
