Warrior Wrestling Finishes 2nd At East Regionals

The Worland Warrior Boys Wrestling team finished 2nd at the East Regional Tournament in Douglas over the past weekend.
Host team Douglas was the East Conference Team Champions with 191.02 points, and the Warriors had 182.53 points.
Rawlins 3rd with 173.04, followed by Newcastle/Upton with 134.05, Torrington with 91.56, Buffalo with 89.07, Burns/Pine Bluffs 88.08, and Wheatland with 76 points.
In the weight classes, the Warriors finished as followed:
106 – Open
113 – Jacob Jewell 5th, Nate Johnson 7th
120 – Wyatt Dickinson 3rd
126 – Kobe Swain 4th, Trey Wagner 6th
132 – Tillman Burns 4th
138 – Creedon Newell 2nd, Ethen Dickinson 6th
145 – Ross Goncalves – Regional Champion
152 – Ivan Keuntjes 3rd, Oan Vega 6th
160 – Dawson Utterback 4th, Levi Fincher 8th
170 – Bronson Newell 3rd
182 – Ethene Burns 2nd, Bryce Woffinden 7th
195 – Nathan Harper 3rd
220 – Noa Vega 3rd
285 – Ray Rice 7th
The Warriors will send 19 Boys and 4 Girls to the Wyoming 3A State Championships at the Wyoming Ford Center in Casper this weekend.
Lecsi Ramirez, Rivers Carroll, Rylee Anderson, and Katie Emmett will compete for the Worland Girls team at State, the Girls did not have a Regional Meet.
