Warriors Basketball Keeps Stacking Wins

The Worland Warrior Basketball team is on a 9-game win streak with the 67-41 win over Conference Rival Friday Night.
Thermopolis opened the game with a 3-pointer from Gavin Schumway that nearly blew the roof off of Bobcat Gym.
Worland would rally and take a 16-7 lead to end the first period, the Warriors would not look back.
The Warriors scored 21 the following period holding Thermopolis to 7 points to take a 37-14 lead at the half.
They would continue the scoring in the 3rd period and add 13, the Bobcats were able to add 10 of their own to end the 3rd down by 26, 50-24.
In the final period, the Warriors would score 17, the Bobcats did the same with 17 of their own, not enough as Worland got the 67-41 win.
Worland was led in scoring by Owen Page with 14 points followed by Carter Clark with 13, and Court Gonsalez with 12.
Brock Douzenis, Kade Weber, and Bryan Caballero would each add 8 to the Warrior’s total.
Defensively the Warriors didn’t allow any Bobcats to score more than 7 points.
Worland would outrebound Thermopolis with 29 total rebounds, 18 of those defensive.
The Warriors would also have 14 steals led by Tyshon Swalstad with 4.
With the Cancelation of Saturday’s game against Wyoming 4A ranked number 5 Sheridan the Warriors will hope to continue the stacking of wins this coming weekend at home against Mountain View and Lyman.
