Warrior’s Golf Finish As State Runner-Up

The Worland Warrior Boy’s Golf team finished as the Runner-Up at the 3A State Golf Championship in Lander this past weekend.

The Warriors would shoot a 665 over the two days. The Riverton Wolverines would win the State Championship this season unseating Worland who won the 3A State Championship last season.

Karsten Simmons would hit a round 1 – 72 and a round 2 – 69. Simmons would Birdie both 17 and 18 to finish his Senior year. “To birdie my final holes would definitely be the highlight of my Senior season.” Krasten would say.

The Individual Championship would go to Sophomore Parker Paxton with a 2 day total of 130, his second consecutive title.

Jackson Dunham would finish 8th and receive All-State honors along with Karsten.

Landon Gilmore, Luke Voss, and Tyshon Swalstad would all have top finishes to help the Warriors win the Runner-Up trophy.

The Lady Warriors would get an 8th place finish with efforts from Taylor Simmons, Sam Keller and Rihan Rosario.

Lovell’s Erika Cook would win the Individual Title with a 150.

Wheatland would win the Girl’s 3A Championship 2 strokes over Green River.
