Wild West Spectacular Nominated for Theatre Award

A local show is in the running for a regional theatre award.
The Rocky Mountain Dance Theatre’s Wild West Spectacular has been nominated for a 2019 Regional Theatre Award through the website BroadwayWorld Montana. The site is a resource for everything theatrical in Montana, covering professional and community productions that are produced.
The Wild West Spectacular has been nominated as the Best non-professional Musical. It’s the only Wyoming show nominated for a Montana theatre award. Its competition is a production of Footloose performed at the Grandstreet Theatre in Helena, and Wild West currently has the lead with almost 70% of the vote.
Whether it prevails or not, this is a significant achievement for the local production, already voted the Best Wild West Show by True West magazine. And great timing too – Rocky Mountain Dance Theatre’s 22nd Annual performance of The Nutcracker is this Saturday and Sunday at Wynona Thompson Auditorium.
