Winter Burning on North Fork
Written by Andrew-Rossi on November 30, 2017
If you see smoke in the air on the North Fork, don’t be concerned about forest fires – the Shoshone National Forest is executing controlled burns this week.
Officials say conditions are favorable for their fire crews to burn some piles in a few areas of the Forest. Smoke may be visible in the area the next few days as these piles burn. On the Wapiti Ranger District, piles will be burnt along the North Fork of the Shoshone River, west of Cody.
