Winter Is Here – So Be Prepared

Written by on December 20, 2017

Winter is finally at our door – and motorists are advised to be prepared for severe weather.
The National Weather Service has issued a warning that snow will spread into the Absarokas this afternoon and into the Cody Foothills by this evening. Accumulations will be generally 3 to 6 inches in the mountains, and 1 to 3 inches in the Cody Foothills – and with the addition of expected wind gusts of up to 70 miles per hour in the Clark area, travelers are cautioned to be prepared.
Cody Beers with the Wyoming Department of Transportation points out that WYDOT’s 511 smart phone app can be a great help when preparing to drive during winter conditions.
