Bad Roads Cause School Closure | Big Horn Basin Media

Winter Storm Closes Schools in Greybull

Written by on February 5, 2018

Black ice to the north, west and east of Cody will make for treacherous conditions if you’re traveling out of Cody this morning.
The arctic cold front that came through the area this weekend brought snow and freezing rain, with over six inches of snow recorded in Billings. While this front will blow through this morning, another strong cold front is expected to push into northern Wyoming late Thursday night, sweeping across much of the area into Friday night and possibly lingering into Saturday.
Schools have closed in Greybull due to the poor road conditions, according to Superintendent Barry Bryant. However, Brian Kirby in Basin says they will keep schools open today.
