Worland Golfers Finish 4th At State After Playoff.

The 2022 two-day Wyoming 3A Golf State Championship was in Buffalo this year.
Originally scheduled to be at the Rochelle Ranch Golf Course in Rawlins the WHSAA moved the Tournament to Buffalo due to course issues in Rawlins.
Friday the weather was into play with close to an hour of a rain delay.
The Golfers were allowed to continue to the course and finished the day 1 round.
Senior Landen Gilmore finished day 1 with an 80 and 9th place.

Riverton’s Parker Paxton led round 1 with a 65, 10 strokes ahead of the second golfer.
For the Girls, Samantha Keller led the Lady Warriors with a 96. Emerie Carver hit a 121 on Day 1.
Lovell’s Erika Cook and Green River’s Isabell Salas tied on Day 1 with a 76.
Day 2 would have better weather and the Warriors would Finish the Tournament with 3rd place.
Landen Gilmore shot the same score as Day 1 and hit another 80 finishing the Tournament with a 160.

Riverton won the Wyoming 3A State Championship for the second year in a row, and Riverton’s Parker Paxton won the individual with a 137, 15 strokes ahead of the 2nd place finisher.
The Worland Warriors and Lovell Bulldogs finished in a tie. Both teams shot a 690.
Lovell would win the playoff by 2 strokes and take 3rd place at the Tournament.
Sam Keller shot a 96 on the second day finishing with a 203 and 10th place for the Girl’s Individuals.
Emerie Carver hit a 112 on day 2 within an overall score of 238.
Wheatland won the Wyoming 3A Girls State Golf Championship.
Lovell’s Erika Cook won the Girl’s Individual with a 2-stroke win over Green River’s Isabell Salas.
Worland’s Landen Gilmore and Sam Keller have both received All-State Honors.
