Worland Host Cross Country Conference Meet

The Worland Cross County team would host the Absaraka Conference Championships at Green Hill Golf Course this past Friday.
Two Warriors and two Lady Warriors would win All-Conference honors. Junior Jack Bishop and Freshman Kiyoshi Smith for the boys, and Freshman Zena Tapia and Junior Carly Venable for the girls.
Jack Bishop would win the boy’s meet with a personal best 16:51.92, Kiyoshi Smith would finish 8th, Trajn Swalstad, Jackson Wassum, Ira Croft, Ethan Warren, and Kobe Swain all finished in the top 21.
Zena Tapia finished 5th for the girls. Carly Venable finished 10th, Keira Woffinden, Isaira Matamoros, Sarai Matamoros, and Jaden Earl all with strong finishes.
Head Cross Country Coach Tanya Keinlen would win Absaraka Conference Coach of the Year.
The Warriors finished 2nd behind Buffalo in the Conference meet.
The Lady Warriors finished 3rd behind Buffalo who won first and Pine Bluffs/Burns who got 2nd.
