Worland Indoor Track At Broncs Invite In Gillette

The Worland High School Indoor Track team was in Gillette this past weekend.

The Lady Warriors would compete at a high level.

Freshman Kalistynn Crippen finished 5th in the Girl’s 55 Meter Dash, 2nd in 3A, and Junior Maddy Lloyd finished 12th in the 55, 6th in 3A.

In the Girls 200 Meter Lloyd finished 3rd overall, Freshman Cherise Douzenis finished 4th, Junior Erika Manahan finished 7th with Crippen finishing 14th.

The Girls’ 400 Meter saw Douzenis finish 4th, Senior Isaira Matamoros was 10th.

In the Girls, 800 Meter Junior Nyssa Leyva finished 8th and Senior Sarai Matamoros 19th.

Sophomore Zena Tapia won the Girl’s 1600 Meter.

The Girls 4X200 Meter Relay of Lloyd, Isaira Matamoros, Leyva, and Manahan got 5th.

In the Girl’s High Jump, the Freshman Duo of Douzenis was 5th and Crippen 7th.

In the Girl’s Pole Vault Junior Rihan Rosario 15th.

Douzenis jumped 5th, and in the Girl’s Long Jump Manahan finished 13th.

The Girl’s Team finished 6th overall and 3rd in 3A.

Top finishes on the Boy’s side included the Boys 800 Meter with Senior Harley Redding finishing 3rd, Junior Kiyoshi Smith in 7th, and Senior Ethan Miller at 16th.

The Boys 1600 Meter had 4 boys finish in the top 20. Sophomore Trajn Swalstad 2nd, 1st in 3A, Kiyoshi 13th, Will Bishop 14th, and Ethan Miller 18th.

The Boys 4X800 Meter Relay team of Bishop, Kiyoshi, Ira Croft, and Redding finished 3rd.

The Worland Boys finished 8th overall and 5th in 3A.

Overall Worland High School Indoor Track finished 6th overall and 3rd in 3A behind Cody and Torrington.
