Worland Indoor Track From The Basin Nation Invite

The Worland High School Indoor Track team was at the Basin Nation Invite in Gillette this past weekend.
The Girl’s Team sprinters performed well.
In the 55 Meter Freshman, Kalistynn Crippen finished 9th, and Junior Maddy Lloyd finished 21st, by way of comparison in the 3A Division Crippen would have finished 2nd, Lloyd 5th.
In the 200 Meter Dash Lloyd finished 9th, Freshman Cherise Douzenis 13th, Crippen 16th, and Erika Manahan 21st.
Girls 400 Meter Dash Douzenis was 16th, 5th for 3A.
In the longer distance runs Sophomore Zena Tapia finished 4th in the 1800 Meter, and 2nd in the 3200 Meter.
The Girl’s finished 10th in the 4X200 Meter Relay with the team of Lloyd, Senior Isaira Matamoros, Junior Nyssa Leyva, and Manahan.
The 1600 Sprint Medley Relay of Lloyd, Crippen, Manahan and Leyva finished 4th and set a new Worland High School Indoor Track 1600 Medley Relay Record by nearly 30 seconds.
Cherise Douzenis finished 5th in the High Jump, 1st in 3A, and Crippen finished 12th 6th in 3A.
Douzenis also finished 11th in the Long Jump, 3rd in 3A.
For the Boys Sophomore Trajn Swalstad finished 17th, 5th in 3A in the 1600 Meter, and Senior Harley Redding was 21st, 7th in 3A.
Swalstad also finished 7th in the 3200 Meter, 1st in 3A. Redding, Kiyoshi Smith, Will Bishop, and Ira Croft finished 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th.
