Worland Wrestling With A Strong Weekend In Bozeman

The Worland Warrior Wrestling team was in Bozeman this past weekend at the Tom LeProwse Battle In The Bridgers Wrestling Tournament.
Twenty-Nine teams from across Montana and 3 teams from Wyoming Cody, Powell, and Worland competed at the annual meet.
Billings West won the meet with 180.02 points.
Powell was the highest-finishing Wyoming team with 115 points placing 8th.
Cody was 12th with 95 points and Worland 14th with 88 points.
The top Finishers for the Warriors were Creedon Newell with 6th in the 138 class.
Sophomore Ethan Burns finished 5th in the 182 class.
Senior Ross Goncalves finished 5th in the 145 class.
The Girls competed with 4 wrestlers at the tournament.
Katie Emmett, Rylee Anderson, Rivers Carrel, and Lecsi Ramirez.
Rylee and Rivers each finished 5th in their weight classes.
Senior Lecsi Ramirez went to the Championship in the 145 lb weight class. Losing to Bozeman’s Kaitlyn Thorn. Ramirez finished 2nd.
