Write Ins May Alter Primary Results

Now that the Primary Election is over, a few details need to be taken care of before it’s business as usual at the Park County Clerk’s Office.
Colleen Renner says a resolution board met yesterday to resolve any issues with individual ballots that may have become damaged, and a panel of volunteers were also working on tallying the write in candidates.
Renner says that as a result of tallying the write in votes, a democratic challenger may emerge in the Park County Commissioner race, which would take the matter to the general election in November.
Renner says that once the election results are determined official by the state canvassing board, then their office can get prepared for the general election on November 6.
