Wyoming Game and Fish Commission Meeting to be Held at Northwest College This Month
Written by Andrew-Rossi on November 5, 2019
The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission encourages public comment at its next meeting in Powell.
The Commission will hold its meeting on November 18th and 19th at Yellowstone Conference Room at Northwest College. The meeting will cover a number of topics that Game and Fish is and has been prioritizing for several years – chronic wasting disease, an overview of the aquatic invasive species plan and a review of the effectiveness of dogs for detecting aquatic invasives. Guest presentations will be given by the National Bighorn Sheep Center and the Wyoming Wildlife Federation. The Commission will also vote on the critical issues of approving mule deer habitat and migration projects as well as applications for special antelope hunt event licenses.
Monday the 18th’s meeting will largely be a work session and thus there is no call for public attendance. But public comments on any of the issues presented is highly encouraged on the following day. If you can’t attend in person, the event will be live-screened on the Commission’s web page. An open house will follow the event – any kids have a chance to win a lifetime hunting licenses for small game and fish, and adults can win a Wyoming Conservation License plate.
