Wyoming Ranked 5th Best State to Live In

Wyoming has been ranked the 5th best place to live, according to a recent study conducted by WalletHub.
The national study ranked states on 51 different livability factors including housing costs, income, education, and quality of healthcare.
Below are some of the categories the Cowboy State did well in:

15th – Housing Costs
6th – Homeownership Rate
15th – Percentage of Population in Poverty
13th – Percentage of Adults in Fair or Poor Health
9th – Wealth Gap
Wyoming scored a 59% overall with the number one state, Massachusetts scoring almost 62%.
The U.S. Census Bureau’s local data states that Wyoming’s population has increased almost 1% since 2020 to 581,381 in the 2022 Census.
Additional data about the Equality State has found that over 70% of Wyomingites own their homes, with the median property value being $237,000. The Bureau also reports that 30% of Wyoming residents have a bachelor’s degree and the state has a poverty rate of 11.4%.
On a county level, Stacker compiled a list of the best Wyoming counties to live in. Park County ranked number 5 and Washakie County ranked number 6 on their list. According to their data, the top towns to reside at in those counties are Powell, Worland, Cody and Meeteetse.
Albany County was ranked number 1, with Laramie being the best place to live at in the county.
