Written by on June 19, 2018

Summertime is here and that means it’s road trip season – and according to an online poll, Wyoming is the place to go.
WalletHub.com has ranked the best and worst states for summer road trips based on a number of factors including affordability, safety, and family-friendly activities. After all of the factors were tallied, Wyoming ranks as the number one spot in the country for a summertime trip.
Wyoming ranked in the top spot for affordability thanks in large part to our lower gas prices and low camping costs. The affordability aspect propelled the Equality State over North Carolina and Minnesota. Our state ranked 19th in safety and 22nd in family-friendly activities.
Texas and Florida rounded out the top five, and our neighbors Utah and Colorado were also in the top ten. Delaware, Connecticut, and Rhode Island ranked as the worst states for summertime trips.
