Yellowstone Quake’s Wyatt O’Donoghue Signs NAHL Tender
Written by Cole Havens on June 22, 2023
The Yellowstone Quake announced earlier this week that defense-man Wyatt O’Donoghue has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Philadelphia Rebels.
This news was first reported by the North American 3 Hockey League.
The 18-year-old O’Donoghue had 26 points in 41 regular season games for the Quake. He scored 9 goals and had 17 assists.
This was his first season in the NA3HL ranks and first season in junior hockey.
Some season highlights from O’Donoghue include a game winning goal against the Great Falls Americnas in March. He also led the team’s blue line with a plus 9 rating.
The Philadelphia Rebels compete in the NAHL’s East Division.
For those that don’t know, here is the description of a Tender Agreement:
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NA3HL – plus or minus any trades – which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2023 NAHL Draft.
