Yellowstone Regional Airport Cuts Down Flights for April and May
Written by Andrew-Rossi on March 26, 2020
Major flight changes have been made at Yellowstone Regional Airport.
Yellowstone Regional Airport announced yesterday that SkyWest / Delta Connection is temporarily placing their summertime flights to Salt Lake City on hold for the time being. This is a symptom of national cuts and setbacks all airlines are facing, not a specific statement on Cody or Yellowstone Regional Airport. The decline in airline traffic we are seeing is the most dramatic in the history of the aviation industry and commercial airlines are making deep service cuts and flights are being suspended. There’s no word on when Delta and SkyWest plan to resume their summer SLC flights.
United is also acting accordingly. Flights to Denver have been reduced to once daily for the entirety of April and May. They may add more flights in June, pending again on the state of the airline industry. You will be notified by the vendor who you booked your travel plans with if this alters any arrangements you’ve already booked. If you have questions regarding your flight changes contact the vendor or United Airlines directly at 800-864-8331.
This is not a permanent stop. Service will resume as normal once the industry improves, but this is yet another aspect of Cody life that is completely out of our control.
