For the first time since 2015, the Meeteetse Longhorns are headed to the State Championship.
Meeteetse hosted 6-man foe Kaycee Saturday afternoon in the semi-finals of the Class 1A ranks and came away with a 46-38 win.
The Longhorns would jump out to an early lead and in turn had to fight off a fierce Kaycee comeback to hold on for the victory.
With the win Meeteetse is back in the State Championship game as they will take on the only team that beat them in the regular season, Farsen-Eden. According to WHSAA that game will kick-off at one in the afternoon on Saturday November 14th.
