Friday Night the Lady Warriors were in Lovell to face the 9-2 Lady Bulldogs.

Defensively the Lady Warriors held one of Wyoming 3A best players Lovell’s Kallie Owens, who averages a double, double this season including 93 rebounds, to 8 points and below her average in rebounds.

Worland’s leading scorer was Sophomore Jaz Aguayo with 17 points, followed by Sophomore Manaia Peterson with 7 points.

The Lady Warriors lose a close one 54-45 to Lovell.

Saturday the Lady Warriors were at home to face 5-4 Powell Lady Panthers.

It was the Military Appreciation Game and the Lady Worriers would wear special jerseys commemorating Military Service.

Worland held Powell’s leading scorer Megan Jacobsen to Zero points.

Jaz Aguayo would again lead Worland in scoring with 16. None bigger then her buzzer beater with 7 seconds remaining.

The Lady Warriors would get the win 45-43 and are 5-7 overall and 1-1 in conference.

Next the Lady warriors travel to Lander Friday and will host Rawlins on Saturday.
