Annual Closure West of Pahaska Starts Friday

The annual fall closure of Highway 14/16/20 between Pahaska and the East Gate of Yellowstone National Park is scheduled to begin this Friday, December 1st.
The seasonal closure of those two miles between Pahaska and Yellowstone happens due to the limited traffic numbers in the winter. The stretch of highway has also traditionally been a popular winter recreation area for cross-country skiers and people with snowmobiles.
According to WYDOT maintenance foreman Jim Berry of Cody, this is the normal time of the year for WYDOT’s seasonal road-closure operations to take place.
