Annual Parks Day Brings Communities, Parks Together
Written by Andrew-Rossi on May 8, 2019
Monday is the 68th annual Parks Day.
The Cody Community annually celebrates its relationship with the nearby national parks by inviting the leadership from Grand Teton, Bighorn Canyon, and Yellowstone to spend a day in town with Cody Chamber members and get acquainted with the Cody people, as well as shop and go sight-seeing.
Tina Hoebelheinrich with the Cody Chamber says National Parks Day also provides an opportunity for us to recognize, honor and show appreciation to those who oversee and manage these spectacular resources.
A cocktail reception with hors d’oeuvres will kick off the event on Sunday night at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, and Monday’s Cody Club Luncheon at the Holiday Inn will feature guest speakers including Yellowstone’s new Superintendent, Cam Sholly, as well as the deputy Superintendent for Grand Teton. Reservations are required for both events, and can be obtained by calling the Cody Chamber at 587-2777.
