Be Wary of Door-to-Door Sales People

Door to door salesmen are under scrutiny in Big Horn County, after reports of thefts have come in following some sales pitches to residents.
The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page warns residents that suspicious persons are going door to door offering various sales pitches; but evidence has turned up suggesting that some of them are returning and committing criminal acts such as theft. They say that there are confirmed reports of this activity in Hot Springs County.
Sheriff’s Department officials caution residents to be aware of any suspicious, aggressive, or secretive sales pitches; and add that for safety, do not share any routines or personal information, and check for proper identification.
Big Horn County officials are careful to say that not all door to door sales people are criminals, but if you have concerns, call Law Enforcement.
