Bighorn Basin: Info Needed to Find Two Missing Persons

Bighorn Basin residents are asked to keep their eyes open for two missing persons – from Lovell and Thermopolis – and share information with local law enforcement.
Over the past few weeks, two people have been reported missing in the Bighorn Basin. Now, the sheriff departments in Big Horn and Hot Springs Counties seek public information to help find the missing men.
The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance locating 17-year-old Landon Lewis, who hasn’t been seen since Dec. 17.
Lewis was last seen in Lovell wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and Twisted X shoes. He is 5’6” tall with brown hair and brown eyes.
Authorities believe he is either in Lovell or in and around Cody.

Meanwhile, the search for Leland Morton continues in Hot Springs County.
72-year-old Leland Morton was last seen on Monday, Dec. 13, driving a dark grey 2022 Dodge Ram truck. The day before, he called in sick to work and hasn’t returned to work or any places where he usually hangs out.
Morton is 5’10” with white hair and brown eyes. His truck has an extended cab, with a one-piece front bumper/grill guard the same color as his truck.
According to the Hot Springs County Sheriff’s Office, Morton regularly drives along Cottonwood Road for work.
