Blood Drive Expands Hours

Written by on July 13, 2018

A blood drive in Cody next week will offer expanded hours so that more donors can participate.
Joshua Randall with United Blood Services says that next week’s event will take place on Monday, Tuesday, AND Wednesday, so that people who work during the day can still offer assistance to those in need of blood. He points out that summer is often a critical time for blood donations.

Randall says that right now, United Blood Services is putting out an urgent call for all O-Negative blood types, saying that type of blood is in desperate need right now.
The Cody blood drive will be at the VFW Hall on Monday from 10:30 to 5, on Tuesday from 9 to 3:30, and on Wednesday from 1:30 to 6:30, to accommodate those who work during the day.
Randall added that Cody is the largest blood drive in the area that their agency services, from Jackson to Sheridan and north to Billings. As a thank you to the community, they will be offering a free barbecue lunch for donors from 11 to 1 on Monday and Tuesday.
