Body of Lovell Man Found

Written by on April 18, 2018

After months of searching and wondering, closure has come to the family of a 19-year-old Lovell man.
Authorities in Cache County, Utah, have identified the remains of a body found Sunday as that of Kyle R. Burton, originally of Lovell, who went missing last fall.
According to an article in the Cache Valley Daily News, Burton’s body was found by a hiker in the foothills above Providence. Burton went missing on November 28 after walking away from his grandparent’s home in River Heights. He had reportedly left in the morning on foot, without a coat or cell phone.
The sheriff’s office helped families and friends for several weeks, searching for Burton unsuccessfully.
County Sheriff’s Lt. Brian Locke said Burton’s body was found under a tree, in a rocky and steep area north of Providence Canyon. Investigators don’t suspect foul play, and Burton’s death doesn’t appear to be suspicious.
Burton’s family and friends have set up a memorial fund at the Lovell branch of the Bank of Bridger, and a Facebook page dedicated to the search for Kyle reports that a memorial service will be held in Lovell on Monday at 10 a.m. at the LDS Stake Center.
