Bronc Golf 2nd at State, Lovell Girls First

Behind their 1-2 punch of Hunter Hall and Carter Schutzman, the Cody Bronc Golf team hung on for 2nd place at the 3A State Tournament over the weekend.
Without the normal practice round the Bronc Golfers found their rhythm early and shot a team total of 659 at Purple Sage Golf Course in Evanston. Worland would come home with the State Championship leading the field with a team total of 620. Riverton finished third.
Hunter Hall led the way for the Broncs finishing 7th place with a two day total of 158. Carter Schutzman finished in a tie for 9th with a 162. In addition to finishing in the top 10 both players came home with All-State Honors.
Logan Schutzman finished with a 168 while Hudson Oelschlager posted a 171.
The Worland Warriors Golf Team is the 2020 3A State Champions. The Warriors ran away with the team title with a team score of 620.
Karsten Simmons led the way for the Warriors finishing in third place with two-day total of 147. Landen Gilmore finished 4th with a 151 while JT Klinghagen 5th.
On the Girls side at the 3A State Golf Tournament the Lovell girls behind the performance of Erika Cook and Adessa Lundberg, hung on for the State Title.
Erika Cook led the field finishing with a two day total of 156. Her teammate Adessa Lundberg finished third with a 166.
In the 2A ranks it was the Thermopolis Bobcats boys golf team coming home with the State Title.
The Bobcats were led by Hardy Johnson’s two day total of 150, good for 1st place individually.
