Broncs Sure Up Non-Conference With A Win

The Cody Broncs overcame four turnovers in a grind it out win in their last non conference game at Buffalo 14 to six.
In a defensive stalemate of a game it was Schroeder breaking the ice late in the 1st quarter with a 56 rushing touchdown. The Sophomore was the highlight on the offensive side of the ball rushing six times for 77 yards
In what looked like to be the start to a solid drive in the 2nd quarter Nic Talich lost the ball with about 5:18 left to go in the quarter. That would be the first of four turnovers for the Broncs.
A pick at the end of the 1st half on a bomb from Caleb Pryor to Luke Talich would end what was a scary conclusion to a close half as Michael Inhat for the Bison almost made it to the house to tie up the game.
The 3rd quarter was whirlwind filled with myriad of penalties, turnovers and ill advised decisions for both sides of the ball keeping the score locked at six to zero.
It wasn’t until 7:20 left to go in the game that Cody could build a cushion with a Drew Trotter 13 yard touchdown run making it 14 to zero.
A late touchdown with just 1:40 to go in the game by the Bison brought some pressure for the Broncs but they were able to hold on and get the win 14 to six.
The Broncs improve to 3-0 with the win and will travel for the Park county clash against the Powell Panthers.
