Burn Carefully in Big Horn County
Written by Andrew-Rossi on July 20, 2017
Big Horn County residents are cautioned that burning in the county must be handled carefully, with the heightened fire danger.
The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office yesterday noted that the County will not be going into stage 1 fire restrictions. However, due to the recent hot, dry weather and the potential for grass fires, the fire warden will evaluate the fire danger on a day by day basis and if needed will shut down all burning in the county.
Anyone who wants to burn must call the Basin or Lovell dispatch center to see if burning is allowed on that particular day.
