Busy Summer Anticipated for Cody PD

The Cody Police Department is gearing up for a busy summer tourist season.

Cody Police Chief Chuck Baker says he anticipates the 21 commissioned officers on Cody’s Police force will be busy with the extra duties that the higher traffic numbers bring.

Baker says events such as the Clint Black concert and the Stampede rodeos and parades take time and attention from the officers’ regular duties. Baker says the community can help the police force by taking extra precautions with their own property.

Baker pointed out that traffic safety is also of high concern for officers this summer – especially motorcycle safety. He urges residents to use extra caution as motorcyclists from around the country come to Wyoming to take advantage of the popular drives around the region.
