Byron Man Arrested for Cody Armed Robbery

Written by on June 28, 2017

A Byron man is in custody after robbing a Cody liquor store at knifepoint on Monday evening.
Cody Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at Rocky Mountain Liquor on 17th Street, at about 7:20 p.m. Monday.
Officers say that 22 year old Kenyon Miller of Byron entered the store armed with a knife. When greeted by a liquor store clerk, Miller allegedly brandished the knife and threatened to stab the clerk if he was not given the money from the cash register. Miller then grabbed the register off the counter and fled the scene with it in his vehicle.
Lieutenant Jason Stafford with the Cody Police Department says the officers received a detailed description of the vehicle from the store clerk, and were able to locate Miller after an intense pursuit.

Miller is currently being held at the Park County Detention Center pending charges of Aggravated Robbery and Evading and Eluding.
