Cancer Center Open House Tonight

The addition to the Bighorn Basin Cancer Center is complete – and tonight at 5:30, an open house will showcase Cody Regional Health’s state-of-the-art facility.
Bighorn Basin Cancer Center director Jennifer Ball says patient needs at the original facility, which was built in 1999, quickly outgrew the available space, which prompted the construction of the addition.
However, it wasn’t just about patient comfort – Ashley Trudo with Cody Regional Health says the state also stepped in and said that the facility was not sufficient.
The open house tonight will feature the facility’s state-of-the-art equipment, which Trudo says will allow local patients to receive treatments here at home that otherwise wouldn’t be available without a lengthy stay in a larger city.
