Candidate Forum To Be Held Thursday

Park County voters have two opportunities this month to get to know more about candidates for local offices that will be appearing on the ballot in next month’s primary election.
Park County Republican Women will be hosting forums in Powell and Cody that will highlight candidates for the 2018 Election. Rachel Rodriguez, president of the Park County Republican Women, says that Republican candidates for all of the open seats have been invited.

Rodriguez adds that even those elected officials who are running unopposed will have an opportunity to present themselves to the gathering. Those include the Park County Sheriff, Assessor, Clerk, Coronor, Treasurer, Attorney, and Clerk of District Court.

The first forum will be held in Powell at the Park County Fairgrounds this Thursday, July 12th, at 6:30 p.m. For those who can’t make the Powell event, another forum is scheduled for Tuesday evening, July 31st, at 6:30 at the Holiday Inn in Cody.
The Republican Women are accepting questions from the public that will be asked to the candidates. Those questions can be submitted via email to parkcountyrepublicanwomen@gmail.com, or by contacting a Board Member.
