Candidate Opportunities Still Available

While the primary election is over, there are still possibilities for people to run for public office in the general election in November.
There is still time for candidates to file for the four available seats on the board for Park County School District 6. According to an article in the Cody Enterprise, as of Tuesday, only two people have filed for a position on the school board. But both Nicole Tisthammer and Robin Berry are going for the same seat – the one that was vacated by Rebecca George in the spring.
Berry ran in the primary election for the Cody City Council Ward 2, and will advance to the general election. She brought in fewer votes than her opponent, Heidi Rasmussen.
According to the Park County Clerk, candidates may file for multiple races, but can only serve in one should they win both.
The filing period for the general election closes at 5 p.m. on Monday.
