Cellular Plus Helping Kids Start the School Year Right

Written by on July 24, 2019

A Billings-based company has a free backpack give-away this Saturday in Cody.

Cody Store Manager AJ Anderson says Verizon-Cellular Plus in Cody will be giving away free backpacks filled with school supplies from 10 am to noon. The packs will contain notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, glue sticks, a sharpener, eraser, folder, highlighter and pencil case.

The Verizon-Cellular Plus Backpack to School Program involves employees, customers and vendor partners.  They’ll also be taking donations from the public if anyone would like to help support the program.

The free backpacks with school supplies are available Saturday morning while supplies last. A child must be present with an adult to receive a backpack.  Anderson says it’s about giving back to the community and helping kids.

Cellular Plus has about 60 stores and is headquartered in Billings, Montana.
