Cody Cubs Win Double Header Against World Showcase Team

The Cody Cubs hosted a double header at Milward L Simpson Stadium against the International Showcase Colts team on Thursday where they would win both games.
Game 1 was a game for the Cubs where they were able to learn to finish as they saw a lead diminish quickly in the bottom of the 7th.
The Cubs entered the 7th inning with a large cushion of 10-3 when the Colts would garner 5 hits on 5 runs and capitalizing on a Cody error.
Tristan Blatt came in with just one out to go with two men on and would have to face the batter that represented the leading run. He would face the challenge with ease by ending the game with a strikeout to win the game 10-8.
Devyn Engdahl would go 6.2 innings pitched and allow 8 hits, 8 runs and strikeout 6 batters.
In game two of the twin-bill the Cubs would see the different international roster where it would be nail biter with the stadium lights shining bright.
Trey Schroeder would start the game on the mound and would take the Cubs through four innings allowing 10 runs on seven hits and five strikeouts.
The offenses for both swards in game two were feeling it scoring runs in every inning besides just two. The game had a multitude of lead changes and the swinging of momentum was constant.
The Cubs would score 15 runs in the final 3 innings to close it out in 6 inning winning the game 20-10 on 13 total hits.
The Cubs will go on to play a double header tomorrow at 5 and 7 to continue hosting the wood bat tournament.
