Cody Filly Swim and Dive Team Finishes 4th at State

The Cody Fillies Swim and Dive team took part in the Class 3A State Championship Swim meet on Thursday and Friday.
The Fillies would finish in 4th place as a team. That’s three years in a row, now, that the Fillies have been top 6 at State.
Lander would take 1st with Green River 2nd and Powell 3rd.
Tara Joyce led the way for the Fillies and was named both athlete of the meet and athlete of the year.
She finished in 1st place in the 200 Yard Free with a time of 1:50.27. Automatic All-American time in the 200.
She was also 1st in the 500 Yard Free with a time of 5:13.28.
The 200 Yard Free Relay team of Elle Ortner, Louella Cornell, Kelsey Pomajzl and Tara Joyce took 2nd.
The 400 yard Free Relay team of Elle Ortner, Summer LaVigne, Kelsey Pomajzl and Tara Joyce took 2nd.
Head Coach of the Fillies, Emily Swett was named 3A Girls State Coach of the year.
