Coffee With a Cop Brings Community Together
Written by Andrew-Rossi on January 26, 2018
Cody Police Officers gathered yesterday at the Park County Library to have coffee.
While cops having coffee isn’t a newsworthy incident, the reason for the gathering was – the public was invited to visit with the department about any and all topics of interest at their bi-monthly “Coffee With A Cop”.
Since last year, Police Chief Chuck Baker has organized this event, changing venues to various restaurants and coffee shops every other month, with this month’s gathering taking place at the Biblio Bistro at the Library. Baker says that the event is an attempt to open the lines of communication between the department and the community.
Baker says that this year, they are planning quarterly gatherings, adding that National Coffee With a Cop day will be in October, and they plan a larger event at that time.
