Cole Reiner, 22, who was born and raised in Buffalo WY, has now won his 6th round in his first ever NFR.
Arlington Texas on Tuesday Night got to witness a young star rising up in the rodeo world as Reiner won his 6th round of bareback on Lil Red Hawk earning $26,231 amounting to a total of $52,000 earned now.
Reiner has brought in money on five of the six rounds so far with plenty of more chances awaiting him. Their are 4 rounds left in total and winning the best average at the NFR brings in quite a haul. He ranks 8th in the world standings amounting his total earnings to $107,000 just this year.
Reiner wasn’t the only Wyomingite who brought back some cash as Cheyenne native Brody Cress earned a score of 85 on in the saddle bronc which was good enough for 6th place. Cress was the highest average score in the NFR in 2019 but sits at 14th in that competition currently. However, he is 3rd in the world standings as far as earnings are concerned with $137,000.
Livestock here in Wyoming did well on Tuesday as well with the Burch Rodeo Company out of Rozet showing their esteemed stallion Maria Bartiromo. Lefty Holman and Bartiromo scored an 86 on the saddle bronc earning 2nd place and $20,731.
The bull Audacious from Riverton’s Power River Rodeo company was out on Tuesday so Tyler Bingham did not have a score.
The NFR runs in Arlington Texas this year through Saturday, December 12th.
