A Cody man is still in intensive care after a motorcycle crash on the Powell highway Tuesday.
Michael Newton of Cody was the driver in the crash that shut down Highway 14A for a half hour Tuesday morning. According to Trooper Rodney Miears with the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Newton is being treated for a broken pelvis and other broken bones, plus multiple lacerations and abrasions.
Miears says Newton was not wearing a helmet or other protective gear at the time of the accident, which is still under investigation. He says that while he hasn’t been able to interview the victim personally, friends and relatives report that Newton is unable to recall the details leading up to the incident, and no other witnesses have stepped forward.
Miears is requesting that anyone who has information on the accident to please contact the Wyoming Highway Patrol dispatch at 307-777-4321.
