Daylight Savings Time This Weekend
Written by Andrew-Rossi on March 10, 2017
Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday at 2:00 a.m., so residents are reminded to turn the clocks ahead one hour.
The American Red Cross reminds everyone it’s also a good time to TEST the batteries in their smoke alarms as they TURN their clocks ahead an hour. Gino Greco, CEO for the American Red Cross of Colorado & Wyoming, advises residents to take a few minutes to replace their smoke alarm batteries and push the test button to make sure the alarms are working.
It’s also a good time for everyone to take these steps to make sure their household is prepared for emergencies, by installing smoke alarms, practicing an escape plan, and keeping a disaster supply kit that’s easily available in case of an emergency.
