Dry Weather Fuels Fire Concerns

Hot, dry and windy weather this weekend is fueling concerns about the potential for wildfires in Wyoming.
The National Weather Service says there are elevated Fire Weather Concerns for the Lower Elevations and Foothills today, which will continue over the weekend, especially Sunday.
Much of the area will be dry and warm through the weekend with breezy to windy areas and minimum afternoon relative humidities in the teens to lower 20s. Friday and Sunday look particularly dry, and the strongest wind may be Sunday.
Officials urge residents to check for local burning restrictions in your area, and highly discourage outdoor burning, as well as activities that produce sparks, such as grinding and welding. Avoid parking in high grass and do not throw cigarette butts out, and be sure to drown your campfires.
