East Entrance Closed This Morning

Written by on October 23, 2017

UPDATE: AS OF 9:30 A.M. MONDAY
East Entrance to Fishing Bridge: Open to all travel. Snow tires are advised and drivers should expect potentially icy conditions.

Winter weather is creeping in on us once again- due to winter driving conditions, the East Entrance to Yellowstone closed Friday.
The National Park Service sent out a notice Friday afternoon that the road from Fishing Bridge to the East Entrance was closed, as well as Craig Pass, from West Thumb to Old Faithful. Over the weekend, the Craig Pass road opened up, but the road from Canyon to Tower Junction was shut down, and the East Entrance remains closed.
Yellowstone is still accessible from Cody through the Northeast Entrance – but anyone considering driving to the Park should check road conditions first online or by calling (307) 344-2117 for up-to-date information.
