East Gate Open for 2019 Season

A seven-year-old from Powell was the first through the East Gate of Yellowstone for the 2019 season.

Grace McIntosh and her family were among those who passed through the East Gate on Friday morning, as the 2019 summer tourist season kicked off with a beautiful sunny day.

Here in Cody, the Chamber of Commerce offered up a pancake breakfast for locals and visitors to celebrate the event, and downtown businesses opened their doors on Saturday for a “Fire Sale,” to commemorate the beginning of the summer sales and take advantage of the hundreds of visitors to the community who traveled here for the 45^th annual Fire School.
