Field of Honor Flies This Week

The Field of Honor has unfurled its flags and they are waving proudly in downtown Cody.
This year’s Field runs from the Heritage Museum at the corner of 11th and Sheridan west to the corner in front of the Cody Chamber of Commerce. The fundraiser will help to keep the doors open at the newly-christened Heritage Museum – but in the meantime, organizer Jenny Zink says it offers a festive burst of patriotism in Cody’s busy tourist season.
Flags are still available to be purchased – volunteers will be at the Field throughout the week, and the flags will stay on display through the 16th, when most of them will be available to pick up by those who have purchased them.
Zink says that several of the flags will remain in place in front of the Chamber building through the 4th of July festivities.
Additionally, a short ceremony commemorating Flag Day will be held tomorrow at noon on the courthouse steps.
