Fillies Back to No. 4, Worland Falls from top Spot in Latest WyoPreps Rankings

The latest Wyopreps.com coaches and media basketball polls were released Wednesday afternoon and does seem some changes from a week ago.
We’ll start with a look at the latest girls basketball rankings.
In Class 4A: The Cody Fillies have jumped back up to the No. 4 spot after defeating Gren River last week 46-40. That pushes Green River back to five. Coming in at No. 1 is Thunder Basin followed by Cheyenne East and Natrona at two and three, respectively. Friday night it’s the Fillies vs. the Fillies in another top 5 clash as Cody travels to Natrona for a 5pm contest.
In Class 3A: Douglas is unanimous on top once again while Lyman holds on to the two spot. After that, Lander moves back to third with Mountain View fourth and Worland jumps back into the rankings at No. 5.
In Class 2A: Moorcroft and Rocky Mountain are tied at the top both sharing a piece of No. 1. Wyoming Indian stands at three with Shoshoni fourth and Sundance back at five.
And in 1A: There is no change. Coleville is first followed by Upton, Kaycee, H.E.M. and Southeast.
And now a look at the latest boys basketball polls.
We’ll start with a look at Class 3A where the Worland Warriors are No. 1 no more. After losing three of their last four contests, Worland falls to No. 2. The Powell Panthers take over the one spot. Buffalo holds tight in third with Rawlins fourth and Mountain View is tied with Lander for fifth.
In Class 4A: Sheridan holds firm at the top. Cheyenne Central moves up to second with Cheyenne East now third. Thunder Basin after falling to both the Cheyenne schools falls to fourth and Campbell County jumps back into the fifth spot after a double OT win over Central.
In Class 2A: Rocky Mountain remains on top with Sundance second. Big Piney, Tongue River and Big Horn round out the top five in that order.
And in 1A: Saratoga is back on top. Upton comes in second followed by Encampment, Farson-Eden and Southeast, in that order.
