Fillies Defeat Thunder Basin, to Play East in State Title

The Cody Fillies are headed to the Class 4A State Championship.
The Fillies held on to defeat Thunder Basin, on Thursday, by a final of 63-51 to punch their ticket into the championship game.
The Fillies would get off to a big lead, up 17-4 after one quarter and led the Lady Bolts 34-17 at the intermission.
Thunder Basin would cut into the lead trimming the deficit to four in the second half but the Fillies were borderline perfect from the free throw line in the final frame to hold on for the win.
Cody was 23-28 from the charity stripe in the game, 16-18 in the second half.
Four Fillies scored in double figures led by Molly Hays with 17. Reece and Kennedi Niemann combined for 25 while Izzy Radakovich had 10.
