Last week the All-State and All-Conference awards for Class 4A and 3A Basketball were released.
Today, a look at the Cody Fillies that earned post-season honors.
Starting with a look at the All-State honorees, for Cody Filly Basketball.
The Fillies were led by a pair of All-State guards all season as both Molly Hays and Kennedi Niemann garnered the prestigious accolade. Both of them were All-State a year ago, as well.
Hays led Class 4A in scoring this year, averaging 15.8 points per game. Hays would also pull down 5.9 rebounds per game, dished out 2.4 assists and had 3 steals per contest, all top 10 in the Class 4A West.
Kennedi Niemann has developed into arguably the best point guard in the state. She would finish Class 4A West 2nd in assists per game, averaging 4.2 per contest. She dropped in 11.2ppg and had 3.2 steals per game, all top 10.
Ally Boysen and Reece Niemann both received votes to garner 2nd team All-State.
Ally Boysen has become a force down low for the Fillies. She was second in the 4A West in Blocked Shots per game, averaging over 1 per contest. She pulled down 6.1 rebounds per game, which was 5th in the conference and was one of the best shooters, percentage wise. She shot 53% from the floor and knocked down 74% of her free throws.
And Reece Niemann is a stat stuffer. Never led the team in a category but had her fingerprints everywhere. She finished in the top 10 in the 4A West in assists, blocked shots, 3-point percentage, field goal percentage and free throw percentage.
And now a look at the All-Conference nods for Cody Filly Basketball.
