Filly Basketball Torches Powell for First Official Regular Season Win

The Cody Fillies basketball team trekked into Powell Friday night and left with a convincing 51-17 victory, to win their first official regular season game and push their early season record to 4-0.
After a slow start Molly Hays would catch fire, hitting her first 3-pointer of the game that began a 20-0 run and the Fillies never looked back.

Cody would use dominating defense and opportunistic offense to put away their Park County Rival. Kennedi Niemann knocked in a buzzer beating three prior to the end of the first half that pushed the lead to 38-9 at the intermission.
In a game that saw every girl on the roster get playing time, the Fillies will be happy with this one going into the Chrismas break.
Hays would lead the way for the Fillies knocking down 21 points while making three 3-pointers. The Niemann sisters each had seven points, Victory Buck and Ally Boysen had six a-piece and Jessa Lynn dropped in four.
With the win the Fillies are 4-0 on the season.
Up Next for Cody Basketball: Both teams will be back in action following the Chrismas break when they travel to Worland on January 4th for a Tuesday night matinee.
